Get answers to common questions about Waxing - Lips.
Most clients enjoy smooth lips for about three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth and hormone levels. With regular waxing, hairs often grow back finer and appointments can be spaced further apart.
You may feel a quick sting, but discomfort is brief. We use temperature-controlled wax and calming techniques. Topical numbing creams are available on request and post-wax cooling gels help soothe the skin.
Clean, dry skin with hair about a quarter inch long is ideal. Avoid heavy creams, recent chemical peels, or retinoids for several days. Exfoliate gently a day or two before to reduce ingrown hairs.
We recommend avoiding makeup on the waxed area for at least 24 hours to prevent irritation or infection. Use gentle, fragrance-free products and apply SPF when exposed to sunlight afterward.
Mild redness, tenderness, or tiny bumps are common and typically subside within 24 to 48 hours. Rarely longer irritation or ingrown hairs occur; follow aftercare and contact us if symptoms persist or worsen.
Schedule every three to six weeks depending on your natural growth cycle. Over time, regular waxing can thin hair and extend intervals. We can recommend a personalized plan based on your results.
